WASHINGTON – Local music venue the 9:30 Club kicked off the new year by inaugurating a customer loyalty program, “Friends with Benefits.”
The free program is geared toward frequent concert goers and music fanatics, but there are perks to be had just for signing up.
The 9:30 Club promises members a free birthday cupcake, free shipping for online orders, entrance to “Friends With Benefits” events, first dibs on select pre-sale tickets and chances to purchase tickets to sold-out concerts.
“So many of the people who come to the 9:30 Club and Merriweather Post Pavilion are regulars,” says Audrey Fix Schaefer, the venue’s publicist. “We wanted to find a way to give them a little something extra for their loyalty.”
Members can accumulate points by purchasing tickets and merchandise from both venues, including food and beverage purchases once they are inside.
Additional points can be accumulated by sharing the promotion via Facebook or Twitter, or by simply attending a concert with a paid ticket.
Points can be redeemed for free concert tickets, 9:30 Club merchandise and 9:30 Club gift cards.
