Capella to open Georgetown hotel in January

Capella Hotels and Resorts will open its first U.S. property in Georgetown in January.

The Capella Washington, D.C., a $45 million renovation of the former American Trial Lawyers Association building at 1050 31st St. NW, includes 49 rooms, a restaurant and lounge, and a guest-only rooftop pool and bar.

Capella, IGC Properties and Castleton Holdings redeveloped the property. Castleton bought the building from the Trial Lawyers Association for $18.3 million.
