WASHINGTON – If Thursday night’s Nats game is any indication, daily seals site LivingSocial wouldn’t have to pay a penny if Nats playoff games forced Metro stay open late.
Metro says nearly 13,000 fans entered the Navy Yard station between 7 p.m. and 12 a.m. Thursday night after Game 4 of the National League division series.
That is more than double the number of riders needed to make up for the $29,000 deposit LivingSocial put down to keep Metro open if games run late.
None of the games have gone long enough yet to require the use of that deposit.
Friday’s Game 5 against the Cardinals begins 8:37 p.m. Metro is open until 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
