Man injured after jump from burning building

WASHINGTON – A fire in downtown D.C. forced a man to jump from a third floor window Thursday night.

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Two other women were also taken to the hospital with less significant injuries.

The fire happened in a three-story apartment building on K Street NW near 1st Street.

A firefighter also had minor injuries to his hand.
