Four D.C.-area shootings in three nights

WASHINGTON – For the third night in a row, there was a shooting in Prince George’s County.

The latest happened in Langley Park Saturday night around 6:30 p.m. A man was shot to death in an apartment complex hallway. Police are investigating but have no suspect.

Friday night, a man was shot at a prayer vigil for a man who died of cancer. Thursday afternoon, a man shot and killed his cousin after an argument.

In addition, a Falls Church shooting left two men dead Saturday night. The men were found shot to death in the Eden Center shopping plaza.

Falls Church Deputy Police Chief Mary Gavin told The Washington Post that the first man was shot about 10 p.m. as he emerged from his car.

Police searched for the shooter for about an hour, and then found a man slumped inside a car outside of the Cafe Metro, also in the Eden Center. He appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a gun was found in the car.

Police are investigating the case as a possible homicide and suicide.
