10. This 1997 sequel to the original "Angels in the Outfield" was a made-for-TV movie produced by Disney. Christopher Lloyd ("Doc" from "Back to the Future") played the boss Angel and David Gallagher (who would later go on to be "Simon" in "7th Heaven") stars as the younger brother to a football hero who quits the game following their father's death. The movie earned a whopping 4.6 stars out of 10 on IMDB.com
9. The 2001 sequel "MVP: Most Vertical Primate" continues the first film featuring Jack, the sports-playing chimpanzee. "MVP 2" opens with Jack being kicked off of his hockey team. But banking on a monkey to carry the lead of a movie is quite the stretch. The movie earned a whopping 2.7 out of 10 stars on IMDB.com
8. Ralph Macchio stuck around for three editions of "The Karate Kid." So you can't blame the guy for bailing on number four. Rather than close the dojo, producers turned to Hillary Swank. Mr. Miyagi patiently teaches the same old techniques to "The Next Karate Kid" in this never-should-have-been-made sequel. The movie earned a dismal 3.9 out of 10 stars on IMDB.com
7. "The Sandlot" is cited as one of the most influential coming-of-age movies about baseball by many movie-goers. "The Sandlot 2" -- not so much. 4. The original "Bad News Bears" starred a curmudgeonly Walter Matthau. "The Bad News Bears Go To Japan," the third installment in the series, features Tony Curtis as a small time promoter/hustler. IMDB.com users gave the third movie 3.1 stars out of 10 stars
