Alexandria police searching for assault suspect

WASHINGTON – Police in Alexandria are looking for the suspect who assaulted a 16-year-old girl Monday.

The girl told police she heard a loud noise near the front door of the home on Archer Court just after 8 p.m. When she went to investigate, she told police a Hispanic man in his early 20s was standing inside the house.

The suspect grabbed the victim and pushed her to the floor. During the altercation, the victim’s cell phone rang and the suspect ran off.

The victim is not hurt but police say the suspect is still at large.

He is described as between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with black hair and a goatee.
