Sterling teen charged with sexual battery

WASHINGTON – A 15-year-old Sterling teenager is facing charges of sexual battery and attempted robbery in two recent crimes.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reports the first incident on Jan. 17 on Auburn Drive in Sterling.

Detectives believe the teenage boy approached a 32-year-old woman around 7 p.m. and tried to grab her through the driver’s side door.

The victim screamed and the suspect fled.

Then, on Jan. 23, a witness reported he saw the suspect taking money and groping a woman on East Holly Avenue around 8 p.m.

When the witness approached, he fled.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office were able to identify a 15-year-old boy from Sterling as the suspect.

He’s charged with sexual battery and two counts of attempted robbery.

Detectives are not releasing his name, due to his age.
