WASHINGTON — It’s not too soon to begin figuring out how you’re going to get to, or near, the Tidal Basin for the National Cherry Blossom Festival (March 20-April 16), and that includes parking.
The festival has announced that they are once again partnering with Parkmobile to provide reserved parking in garages downtown and near the Tidal Basin via ParkNow, as well as the Parkmobile app (Apple and Google) for paying for on-street parking. All proceeds for parking booked through Parkmobile will benefit the nonprofit cherry blossom festival.
You can get the lowdown, including rates and participating garages, at the festival’s parking website.
Handicapped parking is available along West Basin Drive at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, as well as along the southbound side of Ohio Drive Southwest, on the Washington Boundary Channel side of Hains Point, north of Buckeye Drive.
