Body found inside a vehicle in Germantown parking lot

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating what happened to a man who was found dead in a car in a parking lot in Germantown, Maryland.

Officers were called to a shopping center in the 20900 block of Frederick Road a little after 6 p.m. on Friday for the report of a suspicious situation involving a parked vehicle, Montgomery County Police said in a news release.

The release said when officers arrived they “observed an adult male deceased inside the car.”

The body of the man was transported to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.

Police said their investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5700.
