Motorcyclist seriously hurt in multi-car crash

WASHINGTON — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a morning crash in Aspen Hill shortly after police tried to pull him over for not having license plates.

The motorcycle and three cars were involved in the 7:45 a.m. crash on Aspen Hill Road at Parkland Drive, just a few blocks from where Montgomery County police tried to stop the biker on Connecticut Avenue.

The man didn’t stop for the officer and turned onto Aspen Hill Road, where the officer briefly lost sight of the biker amid the morning traffic. The officer soon came upon the crash scene and the injured motorcyclist.

Police have not released the name of the motorcyclist, who suffered life-threatening injuries. The three drivers involved were expected to be OK.
