of Sweetspire Drive, where they found William McDaniel dead in the roadway.

Police said that earlier, McDaniel had gotten into a dispute with Ryan Anthony Salandy, 22, of Amber Ridge Circle in Germantown. The men were in business together and were arguing over payments, Montgomery County police Capt. Paul Starks tells WTOP.

Police allege that Salandy initially drove away but circled back to Sweetspire Drive, where police allege he intentionally struck McDaniel with his silver 2006 Saab.

Salandy was turned in by a relative and arrested at a residence in Germantown shortly after McDaniel was found by police.

He has been charged with one count of first degree murder and is being held without bail. A bail review is scheduled for Monday in Rockville.

Attorney information for Salandy was not immediately available.
