Pa. man arrested for killing pastor in Germantown

WASHINGTON – A Pennsylvania man has been arrested for killing a local pastor who was helping to rid his attacker of “voices.”

Montgomery County police say that Roland Zinneh, 38, of Darby, Pennsylvania, struggled with pastor Conner Dagadu, 57, inside a home in the 19400 block of St. Johnsbury Lane in Germantown, ultimately killing Dagadu.

Police were called to the home where Dagadu lived Wednesday morning. Police were told that a combative man, Zinneh, would not let paramedics tend to Dagadu. Officers found Zinneh pacing and jumping up and down at the front door. He attempted to run from officers and broke a window with his hands. At one point, he began to shout “I kill demons,” according to police.

Zinneh was taken to the hospital for treatment. However Dagadu could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the home. He died of asphyxiation, according to police.

Zinneh later told investigators that he believed Dagadu was possessed by demons. Police say that Zinneh had been brought to the home Tuesday evening so that Dagadu could pray for Zinneh and help rid him of his “voices.”

Zinneh is charged with first-degree murder.
