Carjacking reported in D.C.

WASHINGTON — One man is in custody after police say he carjacked a Honda CRV in D.C. Wednesday morning.

D.C. police and Secret Service officers chased the stolen Honda across the D.C. line to the intersection of Little Falls Parkway and River Road in Montgomery County, where the driver ditched the SUV and headed back toward the District.

Police caught up with the suspected thief in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and 46th Street NW near American University in D.C.

D.C. police confirm that they have made an arrest but provided no additional information.

The Honda was taken about 11 a.m. on Loughboro Road not far from Sibley Hospital. It was not clear what happened to any victims.
