1 dead in fiery Fredericksburg car crash

WASHINGTON — One person is dead after a single-car crash on Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia on Sunday morning.

Virginia State Police said a car veered off the highway while traveling south near the Fredericksburg rest area shortly after 5 a.m.

The car was on fire and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

No one else was in the car, police said.

Investigators are looking into what caused the crash.
