Husband plans second wedding for wife who lost memory

WASHINGTON — Jeremy and Justice Stamper got married last August, culminating what had been a storied love affair since their high school days.

The Stampers got hitched in Hungry Mother State Park, and honeymooned in the Smokey Mountains.

“We were at the top of the world, newlyweds and our whole lives head of us,” Jeremy Stamper wrote on a GoFundMe page.

Then 19 days later, Justice was driving to meet Jeremy when she was rear-ended. She suffered multiple injuries. A month after the accident, Justice told Jeremy that she didn’t remember the wedding.

“She didn’t even know we were married. She couldn’t believe it,” Jeremy wrote.

According to Buzzfeed, which cited NBC affiliate WCYB, Justice viewed pictures of the wedding to jog her memory, but that didn’t work.

“Just seeing the look on his face when I walk down the aisle to him,” she told the station. “I would do anything give anything to have that moment back.”

Jeremy launched the GoFundMe to give Justice another wedding. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, the page reached $4,830 of its $5,000 goal.

You can attend the wedding and reception if you contact Jeremy soon.
