FBI seeks information on Virginia’s ‘Forever Loyal’ bandit

WASHINGTON– FBI officials are working with Fairfax County police to identify a serial bank robber nicknamed “the Forever Loyal Bandit,” who was seen again in Virginia for the first time since August 2014.

He is believed to be responsible for several robberies in the Falls Church area. The incidents occurred between June and August of 2014, but the FBI has confirmed that the ‘Bandit’ struck again in Arlington on Friday, Nov. 6.

The nickname comes from a distinctive t-shirt the thief has worn on two separate robberies. The white shirt has the words ‘Forever Loyal’ written across the top in capital letters.

The robberies began at the end of June 2014. The suspect successfully robbed three banks– two Capital One branches and a SunTrust– but was unsuccessful in his attempt to rob a BB&T branch in August 2014.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect. Anyone with information relating to the suspect or the robberies is asked to call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or the Fairfax County police at 703-691-2131.
