‘You Sexy Thing’ singer Errol Brown dead at 71

WASHINGTON — He was the frontman for the ’70s band Hot Chocolate.

Now, Errol Brown has died of liver cancer. He was 71.

Brown’s manager confirmed the news Wednedsay to the BBC, saying that Brown died at his home in the Bahamas. He was born in Jamaica.

Hot Chocolate scored a smash hit in 1975 with “You Sexy Thing,” which Brown co-wrote.

The group’s other hits included “It Started with a Kiss” and “Every 1’s a Winner.”

Brown is survived by a wife and two daughters.
