Police seek suspects, vehicles involved in fatal D.C. shooting (Video)

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for six people and two vehicles that may be involved in a Northwest D.C. shooting that led to the death of a 23-year-old American University graduate over the weekend.

On Monday, the Metropolitan Police Department released nearby surveillance footage that captured six people and two cars involved in a shooting in the 1800 block of 7th Street in Northwest at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

Matthew Shlonsky — a 23-year-old of Northeast D.C. — was shot. Emergency crews transported the 2014 American University graduate to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police note that some of the subjects in the shooting incident are also persons of interest in an Aug. 12 burglary in the 4200 block of Argyle Terrace in Northwest.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
