WASHINGTON – A man was fatally stabbed Sunday in Northeast D.C., the 102nd homicide in the city this year.
The incident happened at around 2:45 p.m.
Police said Bobby Ellis, 33, of Southeast, was stabbed in the 4800 block of Meade Street. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
An autopsy is underway. Police are offering a reward leading to an arrest.
This year has been a violent summer in the District, drawing concern among D.C. leaders. On Friday, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said she couldn’t point to a single explanation for the killings.
