Prince releases ‘Baltimore’ song ahead of Sunday concert

WASHINGTON – Ahead of Sunday’s “Rally 4 Peace” concert, Prince has released a new song entitled “Baltimore.” The song and concert are in response to recent unrest in the city following the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, who was fatally injured in police custody.

Prince’s Sunday concert is at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, and will also feature funk-rock group 3RDEYEGIRL. The promoter of the concert, Live Nation, says “superstar guests” are expected to attend the event.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Baltimore-based youth charities.

Attendees are invited to wear something gray.

Can’t make the concert — a live streaming link can be found here at Tidal.com.
