Samantha joined the WTOP team in October 2013. This is her first adventure in radio but she is no stranger to the world of journalism.

Samantha wrote for her high school and college newspapers and spent the last seven years working behind the scenes as a writer and producer for local television stations in Baltimore, Md. and Washington, D.C.

Samantha wears several different hats in the WTOP newsroom. You can find her “At the Editor’s Desk” on weekends and working as a writer and assistant editor during the week.

A native Washingtonian born and raised in Bethesda, Md., Samantha left the area to attend Tulane University in New Orleans, La. She is not exactly sure how she ended up back in the D.C. area, but she now has a hard time imagining living anywhere else.

In her free time, Samantha loves to travel and she is always up for an adventure. She has visited more than two dozen countries including New Zealand, Italy, Greece, Israel, and she spent a semester abroad in Sydney, Australia.

She’s also been skydiving, bungee jumping, zip-lining, and her favorite way to relax after a crazy day in the newsroom is to go swing on the Flying Trapeze.
