Self-inflicted stabbing reported at Pentagon City Metro station

WASHINGTON — A male is in critical condition after a self-inflicted stabbing at Pentagon City Metro station Saturday in Virginia.

The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m., when Arlington Fire Department responded to reports of the self-inflicted stabbing. The male was found on the platform.

The male was taken to George Washington Hospital and is in critical condition, according to Arlington Fire Department. Further details were unavailable.

Metro Transit Police Department is at the scene. The Pentagon City station is open. Trains are operating on a regular schedule. There may be residual delays as a result of the incident.
