One dead after Chesapeake Bay Bridge accident involving alcohol, speed

WASHINGTON — A man is dead after an accident Saturday morning on the Bay Bridge involving a car and a truck.

According to Anne Arundel Police, the two vehicle crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the Eastbound lanes of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

A 21-year-old man died at the scene and one person was flown to a shock trauma center and two others were taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center.

There is no update on their conditions but all three are expected to survive. The driver of the truck was not injured.

A spokesperson with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police says that alcohol and speed were factors in this crash.
