Planting the "Seed" to read
The SEED School of Washington, D.C. welcomed Washington Mystics WNBA players to host "Book-it to a Healthy Future": Book giveaway, discussion, and games & prizes to celebrate the importance of healthy living and education. The message is to build a lifelong love of reading in young people, to promote the value of reading, and to encourage families and adults to read regularly with children. The event was made possible because of Sam's Hope Literacy Foundation, The Global Good Fund, Inova, and the Washington Mystics.
