Amazon says 2013 holiday season was its ‘best ever’

Amazon.com Inc. said it had a record-setting holiday season this year, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Amazon said the 2013 holiday season was its “best ever.” On Cyber Monday, the online retailer reports of selling more than 36.8 million items worldwide, or 426 items per second. Amazon also reports that more than 1 million people signed up for Amazon Prime during the third week of December.
