Notes: Woods fought back problems in his last two events. He withdrew during the final round of the Honda Classic after 13 holes, and his back flared up after an awkward shot two weeks ago in the final round of the Honda Classic. He wound up with a 78, his highest score ever in a final round. Woods also won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational for the eighth time last year. ... Tournament host Arnold Palmer is 84. ... Scotland's Martin Laird won in 2011 to become the first European winner at Bay Hill. ... The Texas Open is next week, followed by the Houston Open and the Masters.

Notes: Couples won the 2012 tournament, birdieing the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Michael Allen. ... Nick Faldo is making his fourth career start on the 50-and-over tour. ... Three-time PGA Tour winner Jeff Maggert is making his Champions Tour debut. ... The tournament is the fourth of the season. Last week: Jon Curran led wire-to-wire in the Brazil Champions for his first tour victory, closing with a 2-under 69 to beat Alex Cejka by four strokes.

Notes: Cejka, the winner of the season-opening Colombia Championshipa, earned $86,400 last week to push his total to $221,400, more than enough to wrap up a spot next season on the PGA Tour. ... The Louisiana Open is next week.
