Kim Kardashian aims to break the Internet with photos

Editor’s Note: This article contains photos that some may find offensive.

WASHINGTON — If you thought Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West, or the news of
her daughter’s birth, sparked a social-media frenzy, you haven’t seen anything.

The celebrity who became famous for — wait, why is she famous? — lit up the Internet
Wednesday morning with a photo of her most talked about feature on the cover of Paper
Magazine.

In one edition of the magazine’s cover, Kardashian is shown wearing a black sequin
dress, popping a bottle of champagne.

But in the second edition of the cover, Kardashian is photographed with that black
sequin dress around her thighs and her buttocks fully exposed — and shiny.

Under both photos is the statement, “Break the Internet Kim Kardashian.”

On its website, Paper writes: “For our winter issue, we gave ourselves one assignment:
Break The Internet. There is no other person that we can think of who is up to the task
than one Kim Kardashian West. A pop culture fascination able to generate headlines just
by leaving her house, Kim is what makes the web tick.”

While the photo most certainly has broken the Internet, it’s also caused controversy.
Some are asking if the reality star has taken it too far.

And, true to Internet form, it has also spurred a few spoofs.
