Richmond seeks artist for dam walk project

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond’s Public Art Commission is seeking an artist for a public art project along the James River.

The art project is part of the Brown’s Island dam walk project.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1qTxgEW ) reports that the deadline for submissions is Sept. 5. Submissions will be reviewed by a team of commission members and Richmond residents.

The team is expected to choose a finalist by late October.
