Suburban Hospital Taps New Chair of Pediatrics

New Suburban Hospitla Chair of Pediatrics Leila HallSuburban Hospital will have a new chair of pediatrics starting in December.

Leila T. Hall, a Bethesda resident, will step into the role Dec. 1, as well as being the medical director of the Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center, the hospital announced Wednesday.

David Reitman, the current chair of pediatrics and medical director of the Shaw center, will leave to become the medical director for American University’s Student Health Center, according to the hospital’s press release.

Hall has worked part time in the Pediatric Emergency Center as a pediatric emergency physician and has owned her own private practice in Bethesda, Next Generation Pediatrics, since 2011.

Hall will assume her new role Dec. 1. She’s a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine.
