Sketch of suspect in Grosvenor armed robbery, via MCPMontgomery County Police on Friday released a composite sketch of a man they say robbed a woman on Sunday night as she headed for a Grosvenor apartment building.

The incident happened shortly before 10:13 p.m. on July 21, when police say an adult woman had just parked her car in the parking garage of the 10101 Grosvenor Place building. The suspect allegedly grabbed her as she entered a stairwell, ripped away her purse off her shoulder and then fled.

Police say the victim chased the suspect and saw him get into and drive away in a black vehicle with a Maryland license plate.

Police say the suspect is in his 40s, 5-foot-9 tall with a round face, heavy build and a medium to dark complexion. During the alleged robbery, he wore a red t-shirt, dark shorts, white gym socks and sneakers with a white towel around his neck.

Police think the sketch above strongly resembles the suspect.
