Police seek leads in fatal December stabbing

WASHINGTON - Montgomery County police are offering a reward for information related to a December fight and stabbing that left a Gaithersburg man dead.

Police say they are offering $10,000 for information that lead to an arrest in the killing of Cesar Smith, 45, of Gaithersburg. Anyone with information about the homicide case is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070 or call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

Smith died after a fight with a group of men who entered his Whetstone Drive apartment Dec. 3. Police have said the killing was not random.
