WASHINGTON - Fairfax County police are looking for thieves who are targeting vision stores in the area.
Since early July, there have been four thefts of high-end eyewear from retail locations throughout the county.
In each incident, at least two suspects entered the store. While one suspect distracted the employee, the other suspect stole the eyewear.
In one case, the suspect replaced an expensive pair of glasses with an inexpensive pair.
Detectives believe at least four suspects are involved in the thefts:
- July 6 at Steiner Vision, 6201 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church - Six pairs of Gucci eyewear were stolen.
- July 6 at True Vision, 6643 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church - One pair of Gucci eyewear was stolen.
- July 11 at Great Falls Eye Center, 9909 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls - Four pairs of eyewear were stolen.
- Nov. 10 at For Eyes, 6242 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria - Six pairs of eyewear were stolen.
They also believe the thefts in Fairfax County are related to a string of similar thefts occurring in Mongtomery County.
The suspects are described as two men and two women.
The first male suspect is described as black and middle-aged. He is tall with a thin build and wears glasses.
The first female suspect is described as black, heavy-set and 40 to 60 years old.
The other male and female suspects are black.

A $100 to $1,000 cash reward will be paid for information leading to an arrest.
