Deer crashes Ovechkin’s gate, gets served for dinner

WASHINGTON — The D.C. region’s deer population is making headlines again, this time for gate-crashing Capitals team captain Alex Ovechkin’s house.

Ovi posted a picture on Twitter condemning the assault on his property:

A few hours later, the hockey star tweeted another photo professing to have dealt with the problem:

But not everyone was amused by the joke. Ovechkin received some colorful responses on Twitter, many of them not safe for work.

It is not clear if the meat on Ovi’s plate is the deer responsible for the gate damage.
