4 arrested in death of man found in burned car

HYNDMAN, Pa. (AP) — Police say four people are in custody in the death of a man whose body was found in a burned-out car in in south-central Pennsylvania last week.

The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat (http://bit.ly/1uwBnfr ) reports that police in Bedford County have identified the victim as 36-year-old James Deneen Jr. of Hyndman.

State police said Deneen was shot in the head several miles outside Hyndman on Thursday, placed into the back of a car and taken to a remote area of Londonderry Township, where the car was set afire.

Police earlier announced the arrest of 18-year-old Jonta St. Clair Bishop of Hagerstown, Maryland, on charges including criminal homicide.

Three people accused of having helped him dispose of the body have been arrested on charges including arson, evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse.
