BALTIMORE (AP) — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown reports raising about $1.5 million dollars in the latest reporting period in his run for governor of Maryland.

Brown, a Democrat, reported Tuesday that his campaign has more than $760,000 cash on hand.

Brown’s campaign also noted that the Maryland Democratic Party has $1.1 million in cash on hand to spend on this year’s general election.

Candidates faced a midnight deadline to file their latest fundraising reports. The reporting period covers June 9 through Aug. 19.

Brown’s opponent, Republican Larry Hogan, is using public campaign financing.
