WASHINGTON — Here’s what you need to know about transit on Black Friday.
METRO
There is no track work on Metro on Friday. Rail and bus will operate on a regular
weekday schedule with normal fare and parking rates in effect.
VRE
VRE will on an “S” schedule. Amtrak Step-Up tickets will be honored provided the
train has seats open.
MARC
No service on Brunswick or Camden Lines. Penn Line on a Saturday Schedule.
MTA Commuter Bus
No Maryland Commuter Bus service Friday, except Route 201 (which is on weekend
schedule.)
PRTC
PRTC omniride commuter bus and Metro direct are on modified holiday schedule,
limited service.
Omnilink local bus and cross country connector will operate on regular service.
Loudoun County
Limited bus service will be offered from
Potomac Falls and Loudoun Station. All other commuter bus services are shut down.
Fairfax County
Fairfax Connector on Holiday Weekday Schedule (any routes in operation will
follow their regular weekday times. Please note that routes 335, 394, 395, 432,
493, 494, 495, 585, 599, 724, 734, and 985 will not operate at all. Every other
route will be in operation.
RideOn has not announced any changes from a normal weekday schedule
Frederick County
- Frederick TransIT (demand response) service will not operate.
- MARC Train and MTA 515 commuter bus service will be cancelled.
- TransIT Meet-the-MARC service will not operate, and the #65 Walkersville
Meet-the-MARC trip scheduled to arrive at the Transit Center at 4:55 a.m. will be
cancelled. - All other services will operate on regular schedules.
Alexandria
Alexandria’s DASH will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
Arlington County
Arlington’s ART 41, 42, 51, 77 and 87 will run Saturday schedules. All other ART
routes will not operate.
