RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Passenger traffic at Richmond International Airport increased 4.4 percent in August.
The increase marked the sixth consecutive month of passenger traffic growth.
Capital Region Airport Commission figures show the airport handled 306,099 passengers in August, compared to 293,160 in August 2013.
Airport director of marketing and air service development Troy Bell tells The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1vwGJ8C ) that the airport’s year-over-year passenger volumes have increased in nine of the past 12 months.
