GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say a Gaithersburg woman apparently shot her estranged husband before turning the gun on herself, leaving both of them dead.
Investigators said Monday that 38-year-old David Reid Jr. and 39-year-old Michelle Reid died at an area hospital after the incident late Sunday night.
The shooting took place in a parking garage on Raven Avenue.
Capt. Paul Starks says officers patrolling the area of Girard Street at Allied Place heard gunshots around 11:20 p.m. and checked the parking garage.
He says they found David Reid suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and Michelle Reid hiding between parked cars.
Starks says Michelle Reid then shot herself.
