WASHINGTON – Police are asking for help identifying a vandal who threw rocks at the doors of a Chevy Chase home in late April.

Chevy Chase Village security cameras captured images of the man police believe is responsible for the damage as he walked away from the home.

Police say the man is in his 30s, was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a blue backpack, dark blue work pants and dark shoes. He is about 6-feet tall and weighs about 230 pounds.

Police say the vandal entered the backyard of a home in the 5500 block of Montgomery Street and threw several large rocks at the house, repeatedly hitting and damaging what police described as “an expensive set of French doors” plus a rear window.

Anyone with information about the vandal or damage is asked to call police at 301-654-7300 or call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
