process
The crime that happened within its walls led to the first and only resignation of
a U.S. President: Richard Nixon. Forty years after the Watergate scandal, the
office building of the same name is headed for a renovation starting this week.

Father's Day Index: Mom worth more than dad at

Men may make more in the workplace compared to women, but at home it's the other
way around. At least that's according to insure.com. It's out with its annual
Father's Day Index, which attempts to calculate the value in wages, in terms of

Hot and humid weather means it's time to turn on the air conditioner. But
homeowners could get sticker shock if their air conditioner needs to be repaired
and the coolant known as Freon needs to be added.

Swear in public? Pay $20 fine in Mass. town
Residents in Middleborough have voted to make the foul-mouthed among them pay
fines for swearing in public. At a town meeting Monday night, residents voted 183-
50 to approve a proposal from the police chief to impose a $20 fine on public
profanity.

GOP Senate nomination, 6 House races on Va.

Former Sen. George Allen, trying to recapture the Senate seat he lost six years
ago, enters Tuesday's Virginia primary as a strong favorite over three lesser-
known Republicans. Allen's opponents are tea party leader Jamie Radtke of
Chesterfield, socially conservative state legislator Bob Marshall and Chesapeake
minister E.W. Jackson, all of whom are running to Allen's right on social issues
and have portrayed Allen as a pliant member of a free-spending GOP-ruled Senate in
his earlier term.
