WASHINGTON - For those worried about what to do for Valentine's Day, do not fret. Check out some local couture, dig into vinyl or cozy up with an Oscar-nominated flick. For the truly adventurous, strip down and go for a jog in the nation's capital.

Crystal Couture has been in full swing since Tuesday, offering high-end fashion to a local audience in Crystal City. The fashion show and trunk sale on Friday and Saturday night go from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. And feature discount goodies for men and women, alike. Shoppers are also treated to booze, free makeovers and access to fashion consultants. Check out the full schedule here.

It's not too late to catch some of the Oscar nominated films you've been hearing about. E Street Cinema is showing animated and live action shorts this weekend, in addition to some of the feature films loved by the Academy. Those include "The Descendants" (best picture, best actor and directing), "Albert Nobbs" (best actress), "The Irony Lady" (best actress) and "The Artist" (best picture). Call 202-452-7672 for more information.

On Saturday, love birds bare all at Cupid's Undie Run. Participants run, walk or jog a 1-mile lap down Pennsylvania Avenue toward the Capitol in their skivvies. Registration fees and donations benefit the Children's Tumor Foundation. Pre- and post-race festivities will be held at the Pour House and the adjacent Capitol Lounge beginning at noon. The race starts at 2 p.m. Call 202-546-1001. Registration is $30.

If you're in the drinking mood, check out the second annual Barleywine Festival Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight at the Mad Fox Brewing Company in Falls Church. Thirty spirits will be on hand for tasting, including two from Mad Fox and others from Dogfish Head, Rogue, He'Brew and Heavy Seas, plus the famous Samichlaus from Austria's Schloss Eggenberg. There is also a special food menu and music by local band, Pebble and Pearl. Beer samples are $3 each. More information at 703-942-6840.

If you're feeling a bit nostalgic this weekend -- and who isn't with Valentine's Day coming up? -- head to the D.C. Record Fair on Sunday at the Riot Act Comedy Theater. More than 40 record dealers will be on hand to help customers find their favorite tunes, in addition to bloody marys and food from local vendors. DJ's will also be spinning vinyl while music aficionados peruse the stacks. Early bird entry from 11 a.m. to noon is $5. After that it's just $2.
