Bucks C O’Bryant won’t need knee surgery

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Bucks center Johnny O’Bryant has a sprained right knee, and the team says there is no timetable for his return.

O’Bryant was injured in the third quarter of Thursday night’s 94-80 preseason loss at Detroit. He had an MRI over the weekend that showed a grade-three sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his knee.

The Bucks said Monday that O’Bryant does not need surgery, and he already has started rehabbing the injury.

O’Bryant has appeared in two preseason games for the Bucks. He has two points and three rebounds in 14 minutes.
