Air Force captain proposes to cheerleader before Redskins-Cardinals game (Photos)

WASHINGTON — A NFL cheerleader had an extra reason to jump for joy when her boyfriend, a member of the Air Force, proposed on the field Sunday.

Before the Washington Redskins and Arizona Cardinals faced off Sunday, United States Air Force Capt. Erick Straub got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Cardinals cheerleader Claire Thornton, according to Yahoo!.

She said “yes” as the proposal was broadcast on the big screen.

The Redskins went on to lose to the Cardinals, 30-20.
