U2 makes comeback, debuts song during Super Bowl

WASHINGTON – As the most-watched U.S. sports event of the year, the Super Bowl is known for its extravagant halftime show and humorous, entertaining commercials.

But one commercial will air with the intent to make a human impact.

In partnership with Bank of America and (RED), as announced by Rolling Stone, the 1976-formed Irish rock band, U2, will debut its song, “Invisible,” in a Super Bowl commercial.

The song will be made available for a free download on iTunes right after the game, and will continue for 24 hours.

Bank of America pledged to donate $1 for every download to raise money for AIDS prevention services, medicine and treatment by the Global Fund.

According to Rolling Stone, the band is expected to release its new and latest album since 2009 in the spring.
