The FR160 MICROLINK has a hand- and solar-powered battery and can help out with all three of these things. At the front is an LED light to lead your way in the dark. There's also a radio with AM, FM and all seven NOAA weatherband channels, and a USB outlet to charge your cellphone.
The amount of power does depend on the amount of time it's cranked or charged in the sun. Cranking it for 90 seconds will give 30-40 minutes of use, while eight to 10 hours in the sun will give about three to five hours of use, according to the FR160 MICROLINK manual. The battery will not be enough to completely charge your phone, but it will give it enough power to use in emergencies.
