Reports of new iPhones bending (Video)

WASHINGTON — You may want to refrain from putting the newest iPhone in your back pocket.

With Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, there have been reports that the phones are prone to bending, according to NBC News.

One person even sacrificed his own phone to prove it can be bent just by pushing it with his fingers:

Many people have posted photos on Twitter of now-bent iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones.

It’s not yet clear if this is a widespread problem all owners of the new phones are experiencing.

So far, Apple has not made a comment about the bending, according to NBC News.

Interestingly enough, the iPhone 6 recently scored big when it came to durability.

Apple’s iPhone 6, with a screen that measures 4.7 inches, did the best across a variety of tests that measured how prone smartphones are to break due to everyday accidents, according to SquareTrade, a company that provides extended protection plans.

Apple says it sold more than 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, a record for a new model, in the three days after the phones went on sale. The phone was released last week.
