Charges pending in Prince William crash that injured 7

WASHINGTON – Virginia State Police say charges are pending in connection with a crash that sent seven people to the hospital in Prince William County.

Police are still working to identify all seven passengers in the minivan who ranged in age from 15 to 23.

A 15-year-old girl who was taken to Inova Fairfax with non life-threatening injuries remained in the hospital Wednesday, according to the state police.

The minivan was traveling 100 mph on Interstate 95 when the driver tried to exit onto Dale Boulevard but lost control early Tuesday morning. The minivan struck a guard rail and overturned. Four passengers were ejected.

Fort Belvoir police had tried to stop the van on the base earlier believing the driver was intoxicated.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
