WASHINGTON – A 50-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested on Wednesday for several rapes police say he committed in the 1990s against an underage woman.
Michael Karl Jefferson, of Kingsman Road, was charged on July 25 with five counts each of rape, aggravated sexual battery, forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Police say Jefferson assaulted the victim, who is now 34, several times at two locations in Woodbridge when the woman was between 5 and 19 years old.
Jefferson was a known acquaintance of the victim. He is being held without bond.
