Second student says he was victimized by Va. band teacher

UPDATED June 9, 2014 5:50 p.m.: A second student has come forward saying he was victimized by West Springfield High band teacher Laurence Einuis.

He’s been charged with five additional counts of “taking indecent liberties with a child in a supervisory position.”

Police continue to ask anyone with information to come forward.

PREVIOUSLY: WASHINGTON — A Fairfax County Public Schools teacher was arrested Thursday for soliciting a minor.

Fairfax County police arrested Laurence Einuis, 53, of Springfield and charged him with the use of communication systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children.

Police began investigating Einius on Monday after he allegedly engaged in an inappropriate conversation with a 14-year-old boy.

Police say the boy was not harmed.

Einuis was arrested at West Springfield High School without incident.

He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone else who has information regarding the investigation.
